Freestyle project hull

We have decided to remove the fuel cells and install a tank in the normal place, This has brought the centre of gravity forward a bit which makes the ski ride a bit more level at low speeds.

One thing , If you are running a epoxy fibreglass/ epoxy carbon fibre tank do not use Gasohol fuel as it attacks the resin and the tank will leak!!

I found this out when I removed the cells.

I have been dogged with a miss fire problem for two weeks now! I have decided that it is time for more horsepower.

We are also looking into making the hulls using the resin infusion method,
The prototype hull has shown to be very strong only needing to be strengthened around the pole bracket area, Which will be integral in the layup schedule on future hulls.

can you please pm me the price of completed hull and do you have it instock.

thanks

The price for a complete hull will be 3300 USD plus shipping, We are making enquiries at the moment on shipping companies and charges.
We don't have any finished hulls in stock at present but are working on some.
We have decided not to offer the fuel cells as placing the weight of the fuel rearward together with the short hull was a bit too much. We have tested with a fuel tank up front in the normal place and the ski handles better.

I will post when we have hulls available and shipping costs. Nick

You have amazing glassing/build skills Nick! I too like to experiment and make my own stuff, however I am self taught and my skills are far inferior to yours. I’m also a surf rider so we’re into completely different types of riding but I would love to exchange ideas. I don’t see a Thailand trip in my immediate future either, so unfortunately for me I will have to settle for following your thread. Good luck and big props on your build!

I have been off it for a while waiting for parts and very unreliable people!! But I am back on it now The Dasa PV motor from Dasa Japan is in with MSD total loss etc and running like a sick pig!!
I have a bit of a problem here in Thailand to get it dialed in as Dasa japan wont answer the phone or emails for a month now ! WTF! Does any one deal with them??
I am not an engine specialist but it seems now is the time to learn! as it is so long now since I skied i have almost forgotten which end to stand on !

The engine is a 10mm stroker 91mm pistons ( 1010cc ) powervalve, Msd ignition, Modded 49mm annular discharge carbs ( pilot jet 155 !! main 110 !! 2.5 n&s 115grm springs) Does anyone run this ? It runs what seems way rich bottom and mid. Chris from airtime products very kindly spent a long time talking to me today and offered some good advice , I am going to try tomorrow. ( Very good guy ! especially as I did not buy the engine from him!)
Any advice or tried and tested setup for the MSD would be grately appreciated

They are a company selling Dasa motors in Japan from Dasa USA. The reason I bought from them is they come here alot and they built an engine for the local Thai race team freestyle rider and it was very good, I was worried about getting an engine sent with no one to teach me to dial it in ! But now that is what has happened ! So time to learn!
