Freestyle Freestyle steering nozzle?

does anyone know how much to take off "shorten" the steering nozzle for freestyle and how much is too much taken off. I'm running xmetal trim system and I know everyone is different but I'm just looking for some feedback to go off of. Thanks

Shorten? i dont know anyone shortened them. bored them larger, yes.

Yes we shorten em. If you buy a protec nozzle they are all super long. I take an 1- 1.5 off them

Well in short i think you will not go wrong, with aiming for a "zero" length steering nozzle.
Say you get a 20mm Protec nozzle, cut it 20mm. If you get a 50mm Protec, cut it 50mm

Cut my protec about 1/2" behind the raised ribs on the top and bottom of the nozzle
