Killer ski. I like the "Malone" roundnose look. :woot:

How much weight did you get off of that hood? I would love to see some more pics of it.

Excuse my ignorance, but what does the round nose conversion consist of on an SXR? Is that all custom fiberglass or a bought piece? Do tell :smile:

if you take the black nosepice off of the sxr, it is pretty round to begin with, just have to maybe grind or cut some parts of the front down, and fiberglass it all nice, etc.
 
the conversion is pretty easy. you will have to slice some off the stock hood to get the correct angle. I just mounted the hood hooks on the bottom side of the pole bracket and it worked perfect. I'm using the Rick Roy bracket. I made a clay mold and then covered that in fiber glass and spent many hours glassing and sanding. it's probably 3/16" thick but with the arc it is solid as a rock.

Amazing. I wasn't aware at how much work was involved. Looks very slick.
