While developing the quadski we spent over 1 million a month. Every month. For years. o_O

You build the quad ski? I've been trying to convince them to replace our tahoe on the beach with a rescue aquada and permanently assign me to it. I got a big fat no. =(

Yes, but I think the quad ski is alot more complicated than a electric jet ski. Most electric vehicle manufactures are waiting for battery/capacitor technology to trickle down from the larger OEM. The other important component is the electric motor and judging by their promo video, they haven't really figured out anything innovative in that sector. Then again, when you have no skilled employees, their salaries grow rather quickly. I am just comparing to the cost if I had built that ski :)

I have been tossing around the idea of making an electric powered waveblaster. The problem is the cost of lipo batteries and run time. Would be close to 1k in batteries for 10-15minutes. Then take hours to fully charge them back up. Would be perfect for a competition freestyle ski though.

I have wanted to build an electric stand up for years since I live right next to a lake that only allows electric powered boats. I had at one point found a setup for powering sailboats when there was no wind that looked like it would work perfect, its just battey technology is not far enough to make it work it yet.

I think electric is going to take over in the next 10 years. like everything. If I had the capital, I would be developing an electric standup already. but I dont, so I'm not.

I thought the translator's voice was hilarious.

All I want to know is if this thing goes over 4 mph. I'm leaning toward no since he designed it to ride like your first ten minutes on a stand up

and everyone forgets.....no sound...no fun :0) ....

No sound is potentially awesome. Take those electric dirt bikes. Imagine badass MX tracks moving into inner cities. We have go kart tracks in the city and indoor because they are electric. MX could make that move too.

I'm not sure how electric jet skis would benefit most of us, but 0 emissions and no noise makes it hard to ban riding.
