have been thinking of doing this mod for some time now...

one question would be... why fab pipe around the waterbox and have the outlet come out the opposite side ... wouldn't it be easier/quicker/cheaper to run it on the side the outlet of the waterbox is on?

Does it make the ski louder or just louder to the rider ?
My stock RN box with dual exhaust is much quieter than a TDR with rear only.
I think it's worth it.

I had rigged up a complex dual exhaust one time. It came out the left side of the hull and the T was on the right side of the water box (looking front from the rear of the ski). It was kinda strange looking back how I did it. Anyway I think I'm going to do a side exhaust with a T in the long exhaust tube and glass over the rear exhaust when I re-foam. I cannot justify spending big bucks on an aftermarket dual exhaust system when PVC T (I said it, lol) and an X2 through hull exhaust worked just fine, but I'll see what I can dig up this time as far as a through hull goes. Think I'll run a metal T also.

I was reading the Best/Worst mods post and was suprised that not alot of people liked the wet wolf cone. I think maybe it's a combo of WW cone with a really low pitch impeller, who knows.

A 750 needs the exhaust outlet on the R/H side to keep the engine from filling with water when its laying on its left side in the water. The 650 can have its exhaust outlet on the left because it has a long stand pipe in the waterbox to keep water from pouring into the engine.

I just cut the back 2" out of my ski, leaving the rideplate the stock length. That means that my exhaust will be a couple of inches forward, and that there is a wall between it and the pump cavity. I shall be very interested to see whether that makes a difference in terms of tail-stand stalls when I get it on the water. I suspect it will help stop the exhaust fumes finding their way to my prop.

You suspect wrong.
Been running the same setup for two years. Exhaust still gets in there.

On my shortened hull, I ran it out the right side, just behind the tubbie, just in front of the bulkhead. It did not seem much louder than rear because it's either under water when not on plane, or spray from off the hull is over it when on plane.

BUT, I rode it 2 times so far and already hate the 2-stroke spooge down the side of the hull.

The exhaust won't get into the pump if you have a slight spin to the left...looks cooler and I think it's easier to hold too.

My ski is louder with rear exhaust than my friends 650sx with front exhaust but the constant drone and smoke is far more annoying on his ski.

I have it on mine and hate it the hull came with front exhaust only one on each side. If you doing alot of riding in a tight area like riding in surf or are trying to learn a new trick and spend alot of time falling or not getting alot of air movement I find my self getting light headed.
