Other Fuel line questions

I am changing my fuel lines. I bought 1/4” ID OEM Thrust line and 1/4” T and Y splitter fittings. I compared the new line to the existing and it appears there is 5/16” ID line installed.

Will going from the 5/16 to the 1/4 effect anything? Like, cause a lean condition or change the tune? Curious because the smaller line certainly must flow less. Engine is a 780 so maybe its too small to see the change?

Where there are currently T fittings installed, I am going to install Y fittings... would it be better to install the fitting closer to the carbs (as close as possible?) or closer to the tank? System currently has 1 supply line, 1 return line, both split closer to the carbs.

The setup runs good as is but the lines from the splitters to the carbs are rock hard. I figured it would be best to change all lines while I am there. 84532299-D2D0-437E-89A0-C9965CA8C6F9.jpeg

Your ski is supposed to use 1/4” fuel line. The 5/16” may just be swelled 1/4” cheaper hose. Notice how good the oem line fits on the carb fitting then what you are removing.

Noticed you do not have a flow control valve on your pipe chamber, might want to add one.

I've started to use Helix High Pressure Fuel Line. It's higher quality than the standard poly fuel line and takes much longer to harden. The only other clear fuel line I'll run is Tygon.

Thank you sir... PM a flow control valve that you recommend to me with a price. There is a restrictor in the line that helped when it was put it so, the valve can only help with fine tuning i’d imagine.

Or just use oem fuel line, and it will take only take about 20+ years to harden. It also seals much better to all of your fittings. Use with a clear fuel filter so you can still see fuel flow.
