FX-1 Fuel Problem?

Guys- I could really use some expertise here. My FX1 shuts down after one to two minutes of use. It does NOT bog or anything, it just stops cold. I can restart it, but the process continues.

I have left the cover open this afternoon to see if the gas tank is compressing with air. It is NOT. All lines appear to be secure and zip tied down. HOWEVER, I found a hose that is not connected to anything. (It may be a breather hose though). The hose that is not connected to anything appears to be about 1/4 inch in diameter and is above the gas tank. It looks like it goes up the handpole. When I blow air through it, I can hear it exit somewhere around the handlepole spring. Could this be the problem? Any idea about this hose and where it may connect? (I am a novice with mechanics, but could this hose have been used on the stock battery?

Any help would be appreciated. I got to get this ski off the beach!

THanks- Jay

I think the problem is solved. Looks like the start/stop switch is again the culprit. I unplugged the switch and the engine rode fine. I turned the idle way down so that it will choke out and die at idle.

Does anyone know the name of shop that rebuilds the start/stop switch for the 701?

Thanks- Jay
