Fuel tank / Engine size vs. ride-time

I'm completely ignorant of what to expect for ride-times related to fuel consumption. I know this varies greatly from ski to ski, but I'm curious what I can expect based on my setup and some perspective may guide me in my tank selection.

What would be typical ride time for a superjet with a single carb 61x jetted for a b-pipe with a stock tank (5gal)? Obviously this would vary based on the type of riding, but lets assume we are talking about freestyle and varied throttle blipping as opposed to long extended WOT rips.

Ballpark estimates?

61x squarenose with bpipe Longest ride I had done was around 24 miles. With most of it being 3/4-Full throttle. Or about 90ish minutes of riding.

90 minutes to 2 hours I would say. My 760cc ported jetmaniac engine with two 38's gets 90 minutes with a stock tank.

ok cool thank you guys! Sounds like approximately 15-20mins ride-time per gallon of fuel for a baseline. I'm thinking I will be riding mostly close to shore (marina and shipping channel), and typically in the evenings after work, so a smaller lets say 2.5-3.0 gal tank would still get me 30-40mins out before needing to refuel, and if I can refuel twice-ish off a 5gal jug, that's well over an hour of tray time (and $50 of fuel!) which should get me plenty of wipe-outs and arm fatigue each session!

The difference in speed of 50 percent throttle, and 100 percent throttle. Is probably 5-10mph. But 100 percent throttle is consuming double the fuel. Very important factor to consider.

Anderson River Park. To sundial bridge. Prob 30 miles. On a 701 single carb stock exhaust.

Los molinos mill creek launch to red bluff city park. Prob 30 miles also. Done it on a 1100 raider. A 701 single blaster. 701 single superjet. B pipe. And stock exhaust. Blasters hold more fuel.

Tuning is absolutely critical for efficiency of a 2 cycle. Slightly rich could use an entire gallon more over the course of a tank. And lean could go the opposite way.

If your riding around in a circle. Practicing tricks. A tank of fuel on a superjet should out last your muscle endurance. If your trying to go distance. Figure 25 miles to be safe.
