2 1/2 to 3 hours of non stop shredding on my SJ.
I wouldn't say that. Stock 05 SXR and 05 SJ in the surf were very close. Mine went to reserve and by the time we were in to the dock the SJ was about 10 min away from reserve. Modded, now that's a different story. The SJ lasts about 20 min longer.so i'm looking at 1 hour for the SXR and 1.5 hours for the superjet?
really?
my 650 powered superjets with single carbs never lasted that long!
just cruising around, maybe an hour?
wave jumping, and things that require throttle "pumping" less than 45 minutes per tank.
those are approximate for the single carb 61x I can last year.
I have noticed that before, as well - the only explanation I came up with is this: because it's underpowered, you're WFO all the time.
And if you're moderately heavy, there's quite a load on it, too.
2 1/2 to 3 hours of non stop shredding on my SJ.
Ain't no way. Watch closer next time you ride.
I know for a fact that my mildly modded SJ (a little lighter too) will run for 2.5 hours filled to the max (internal fuel fill). I am rarely WOT.
I'll try for 3 hours this summer and see what happens.
