It is very hard to answer this question from any ones stand point. In heavy surf, I have hit reserve in 45 min, on flat water 1 1/2 hrs or more. It depends how you are riding. If you really want to think about it correctly, look at the jetting size of the SXR compared to the SJ, and the 701 compared to the 781cc motors, plus the extra 60 lbs you are carrying around on the SXR. The SXR will definitely use more, but how much is another story. SXR jets stock are Main-132.5, Pilot-72.5, I don't remember on the SJ, maybe someone can let us know the stock jets?

I kinda ride around slow looking for waves and then brap off of them and thats it. I try never to shut the ski off (ideally and in big waves) until I am sure I'm runnin low. Usually about 2.5 hours and then back to the ramps (5 minutes). And I still have a little.
