Full Specs on Ebay

There are some full specs on ebay for sale by a seller named bundiesshoes. Don't buy them. Ed has inspected them and deemed them non-functional and un-repairable. The are also not 48s but in fact 47s. Some sort of one-up deal.

How are they non-functional and un-repairable? Carbs are just chunks of aluminum, all the pieces that screw on can be replaced.

How do you know this or do you just want to buy them and trying to steer people away?

maybe he called ed to get some history on them? if the bodies are fouled up from trying to remove seized hardware and whatnot then i would consider them junk also.i have also seen carb bodies ruined by leaving them in a bath for too long

i know for sure he talked to ed about them, the throttle plates have worn the throttle bodies to a point they cant even be bored larger. He's just trying to help because he almost bought them but ed told him about them.

I talked to Ed about them also. BossBailey bought them first and when we got ready to install the new throttle plates that Ed sent me for them we discovered they were not really 48's. After talking to him we figured out what they were. We sent them out to him and he said the wear from the plates was as much as 1.5mm per side so even going to 49 wouldn't clean them up. The guy that's selling them KNOWS this. We told Wildman about them when we found out he had gotten them next on Ebay so he's now refunded the money at least twice.:bs2:

The Guy ended the auction early. I had been watching them and this morning I found the auction had ended.

I won them and paid for them immediately, then Crammit and BossBaily PMd me the next day. So I emailed the guy and explained that I knew the were junk and he didn't respond until he had shipped them and said he wouldn't refund the $ until I sent them back. I called ed, he told me that crammit said, and I sent them back the next day.

They are one ups not in that they are the only 47s made but that they were mad for testing and not "normal" 47s. As per ed.

Ed did say that he thought one of them could be converted to a 49, but that the other was wrecked beyond repair. However, you can buy used stock 44s for less than his minimum, so . . .

BTW I would NEVER get on this site and tell people something was junk just so I could buy it for my self. No offense taken.
