I am gonna have to do this to the vxr I was planning on selling this summer. I will probably leave the sides on though. They do handle like giant superjets. Plus it will legaly have a 2 person capacity.

Just saw this build and wow..never thought I would see a VXR turned into a standup!

Seriously...what made you think of that? Were you just sitting around one night and though...man that VXR would be great fun if only it had a handpole?

Props!

Yeah, but your stuck with a tiny pump. A Blaster II would be awesome for this.

Let's see some video of this thing. I bet it still weighs less than an SXR.

You apparantly don't know me very well, the hull has been modified to accept a Waverunner III pump and midshaft,so I have the same size pump as a Superjet,I also have a 701 to go in it with a Pro -tec pipe.I still have to make the hood and install the engine.

WFO, why you don't keep the stock WR 500 hood, just cut the top and take out the steering syst, and some layer of fiber ? I think, it's more easy to fit on hull with better waterless sealing and less job .

Has anyone flat-decked a Blaster with the fixed steering still in place? I might have to get a project going.

Not that I know of , but this is as far as I have gone with my b-1 flattop LOL ., Daytona and winter got in the way . BTW I like this build thread , it is top notch IMO . Great work !

What I did was take a mold off the bottom of the Superjet handlepole, then I cut it in half and widened it,that will be top of the hood, then I am using the sides of the stock hood and the back piece,it shouldn't be too much trouble to duct tape it,foam it all together ,shape the foam, then glass it.Then I will remove the foam from the inside later.I am waiting on the Waverunner III to get here ,it has my donor engine and jet pump in it.It should be making an appearance at a freeride this Summer.

yes It's your choice, in first time , I'll want to make a channel in the top of the hood for fit handepole bracket lower. but I couldn't do that , specialy due to the PROTEC and FACTORY MOD pipe clearance .
check that before glass it :fingersx:

don't forget to send us pics
