This is my coupler, the machine work is done but I am waiting on the new bolts to get here to assemble it, I need flat head 8mm allen bolts, they were ordered from Mcmaster Carr. This was very simple,I cut off the snout on a stripped out PTO flywheel with a bandsaw, then I cut the back off of a severely marred up 550 coupler, ground and then sanded them both flat .hen I found a KD tools spark plug thread chaser,it fit the threads of the 550 coupler and the socket part has an o-ring around the middle, that part fit into the Seadoo coupler very tightly and kept the two centered up while I drilled the three holes,I then tapped the holes in the Seadoo coupler to 8mm and redrilled the holes in the 550 coupler so the 8mm bolts would clear. When the bolts get here I simply red locktite the bolts and assemble the two. After that I will mount this up in my friends lathe and check the runout but it should be very close to dead on the money.
