FW Backflip help

So I've been working on my flat water flips but can't seem to get enough rotation to finish the flip. I have a BOB Gen 2, Dasa 850 PV, B-pipe, XFT trim, 144 mag pump.

I attached some still frame photos for critiquing. Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Are these off a slide 180 or setup wake ? One tip I learned from a Pro rider is when you shorten the distance to return on a setup wake, you increase rotation speed. Also a big pre-burst/drop nose right before wake as much as possible helps too from my experience.

Pull the bars to your chest!!!
This times 10!!! I still forget sometimes and faceplant (a lot actually...). It not only helps rotation, it puts your body in a position to sub out of an under-rotated flip instead of face planting! ouch!

The other thing that has helped me the most is letting the ski almost come to a stop and sink after your pre hop. It feels odd at first, but it helps you go up the setup wake instead of plowing through it. When you get it right, the ski will seem like it's underwater at the bottom of your pre hop, and you'll be staring up the face of a giant setup wake! Lean back and pull!

Im no expert, but maybe pics will help. Sorry for the bad quality...

Prehop!

Let the ski stop and sink. Almost underwater! You should be looking up the face of your setup wake.

UP the setup wake, not through it, and lean back!

Start throwing your head, arms still straight.

Head looking for your landing, arms starting to bend as you start pulling the bars.

Elbows bending more as bars come to your chest, spot your landing

Nail the landing! Awesome hairdo optional...

I pull the bars hard to my chest on smaller cc setup like yours and don't extend so much, the tighter of a ball you stay in, the faster the ski will come around.

Thanks for all the pics Kaylee! It definitely helps to see it.

I'll give it another go with pulling bars to chest. Thanks for all your feedback
