FX-1 fx-1 dying

so i took my stock fx-1 to the river it rode fine for about 20 min then i went to hit a boat wake and when i gunned it it felt like half its power was gone for about 3 seconds then died and did it more often the later it got??????? anyone one have any ideas???? then about 10 sec later its fine

Check for water in the gas, check for fouled plugs. Try the simple stuff first.

had an issue like that,everytime i hit anything ski would die but would fire right back up-my filters in the carbs were clogged.stumped me for awhile didnt seem right, cleaned them out and has been fine.

I second the fuel filter. But don't just stop there. Check the entire fuel system while you're at it.

had similar problem....had a little water/little pieces of stuff in the gas

mike did the same thing!! i got some baddddd gass at wave rave and it clogged the screen filter in my carb!!! it would run for like 200 yards then bigg down real bad.. just yank the carb and clean it..

mine was full of crap and now it runs perfect

That's why you never put marina gas in a watercraft unless you have a boat sized water seperator :smoker:
