Hey harcore. what am I missing to complete the 650 conversion?

I have x2 nozzel
650 pump with impellor
zxi 900 kawi shaft

i have no bearings yet. special has them or you sent him parts to change over?

necesary to buy some glass stuff? i have no experience with glass work? What is necessary?

How much time for the conversion?

can i reuse the fx1 inserts or just screw into the hull to mount the 650 pump? I'm guessing the inserts must have glass to keep them in?? I'm clueless on that part.

I can't wait to try it out. I bought a superjet so I'll still be able to ski while working on it. I miss the fx while useing the superjet though. It carves better on smooth water. It also has smoother throttle response. the superjet has a low power spot in the beginning of the throttle. It effects how I can carve since the power is necessary to pull out of carves (leaning).

Hey there,
About the glass work i didn't do that part. The whole conversion took me and my glass guy around 3 hours. I just used a 650sx ocean pro nozzle, no x2 trim.

I bought my bearings new from special fx since he had a set built. Not sure if he has anymore or if you will have to find the parts and send them to be machined. I'm to lazy to find my parts so i bought already built. I didn't have my fx-1 insert so i pulled a set off a 550 and they worked great. I would imagine any would work with the right bolts.

Other than that u should be fine. Just follow all the directions on here and u should be good.

It was pretty simple and my protec intake mounted right up, no issues.

Ok thanks. Do you remember which parts had to be glassed? I'm thinking the inserts to attach the pump (4)? Oh and possibly the pump shoe or maybe that can be epoxied in.

I can't wait to finish this mod.

your going to need to reshape the pump cavity, where the new pump interfaces the hull. Your also going to need to relocate/ reinforce the inserts and reglass where the pump interfaces the mounting location.
