Eh really its just me and my dad having fun with our converted mill. The X and Y are ball screws, but the Z is a belt driven stepper with a shock absorber to hold it down and it just doesn't work very well for surface finish. We're also having some issues with the x axis accuracy for some reason, so it left a ledge on one side when the parts are flipped and released. Its barely enough to hang a nail on, but its ugly. Here's one of the arms, you can see the ledge and rough finish.
Maybe if I get access to our HAAS lab at school though....
Oh, and the bolt is an inch forward and lower than stock with the same area for the pole to pivot in so no grinding.
And i love the rustoroller paint. Its not as nice looking as a real paintjob but man is it easy to fix.
