Looking for options for an aftermarket heavy duty exhaust hose. I will be updating my exhaust tube to 2.5" looking for options that are long enough to where I don't have to use some sort of extension to make it work.

I have no Idea. There isn't a length listed on their site.rad dudes not long enough?
You might need to get another waterbox because the outlet on the FX-1 waterbox is small too... I really like the Jetmaniac lightweight waterbox. As far as a hose goes, I usually get a 45 degree hose and a 3' straight hose from ebay and just make a coupler. I have an extra piece of tubing I could send you for the coupler if you go that route! Also, if you are lowering the exhaust tube you might want to consider getting an S-bend pipe like I did on the Krash. If not, the hose will hit the battery. Lots of options!
This is all great info. Thanks. So unfortunately jetmaniac doesn’t have any more of the fx1 water boxes. Rad dudes is currently making a good design that people are pleased with. I’m going to try and get in touch with them via phone Monday. I want to see if they’ll make me and fx-1 setup with round nosed sized inlet outlets for the water box.You might need to get another waterbox because the outlet on the FX-1 waterbox is small too... I’m going to be running their 2.5 inch exhaust. I didn’t even think of the hose hitting the batter with a lowered house. I’m mocking stuff up in my head because of been out of town which probably isn’t the best idea.
What do you like about the jet maniac water box? Are the inlet outlet stock fx1 size? Or round nose size?
Will have to check out your Krash build.
Thank you.
Thanks again for all of the info. Do you have a picture of your jm waterbox? Do water boxes vary in performance quite a bit?So the Jetmaniac lightweight waterbox is for anything, it wouldn't be a specific FX-1 waterbox. The outlet is for a 2.5" or 2 3/8" hose (I cant remember) so it will work fine for you. I will take some pictures of mine later and measure it. In other powersports many parts are model specific, whereas in this sport most stuff will need to be custom fit and require some critical thinking. That being said, you will notice that Sanoman and I have different water boxes and parts that are not for an FX-1. This is because you can use underpadding and turf to "custom fit" your parts. I use this a lot with water boxes and fuel tanks. You will use the padding underneath and on top of these parts to get the correct angle and to prevent rubbing on the hull itself or surrounding parts. You will want to mock up parts inside the hull and in the pump cavity LONG before you finalize anything. Building a jetski is like a game of chess.. and believe me, you don't want to lose! Always be 5 steps ahead. Luckily you have all us junkies to help you along the way! Don't be afraid to ask questions or ask for help I have tons of extra hardware and turf padding etc. so let me know if you need anything
Are you running the JM water box? is it loud? At this point if they're available I think I'll run one . Man your work is amazing! I hope I can at least get my pump tunnel to stick! One day I'll be as good as you and Sanoman. Both of your build threads have been alot of help. I went ahead and ordered the Jet Maniac waterbox, along with a ton of other items. Looking forward to staring my buildYes I have one in my Superjet and it is pretty loud. I will be running one in my FX-1, I just measured the outlet on the JM water box and it is 2 3/8” so you can either get a 2.5” through hull exhaust tube or 2 3/8” either will be fine. A 2 3/8” hose will stretch over a 2.5” exhaust tube but it is tight, which is not a big deal. I ended up using an aluminum tube (2 3/8”) from HPS Hose for the through hull, you can find it here

Here is a pic of the JM water box in the FX-1, keep in mind I will be wrapping it in turf but this will give you an idea of the size. Also remember you can glue turf to the inside of the hull anywhere you might have a clearance issue or a rub. I usually use the self adhesive turf for inside the hull so it is easier to remove or change if necessary.
