Just wanted to let everyone know that the ski runs flawlessly!! Had it out all day yesterday and the jetting was spot on, just need to adjust the water screws on the pipe a lil bit. The 144 pump is def the way to go. I can't even begin to describe the difference it made. That hooker prop loads the pump so hard, it literally jumps out of the water by blipping the throttle. The shredmaster plate handles amazingly also. For ANYONE with an FX1, you MUST do the pump swap. Even running a 10/16 hooker, it's way faster than my 03 sj. The chine walk at 1/2 to full speed is scary tho. It threw me off several times extremely hard.lol The ski feels like it wants to just roll over, an it just ejects you off without warning. Taking it out again today, Im very happy with the end result. Also need to throw in the TDR waterbox I just got from drifmaster, then she will be complete.

It's in pieces again....lol Decided to throw a big bore stroker motor in it. So I bought a stroker crank an shipped the motor to Jetworks. Full freestyle port job, big bore sleeves, dome top pistons, custom cut domes, Arts 61x reeds, MSD total loss with MSD water injection to name a few. Also tossed a TBM stubby pump come in the pump an set it up for duel cooling. Few other secrets too. Should be back together in about 3 weeks.

lt would be cool if someone made a mold of a sj pump and tunnel area. Then all you had to do was cut out the small fx1 pump area and install the new pump area from the sj! Bolt up the 144 pump and go.

i do Believe (please dont shoot me if im wrong) but Tom21 was working on something like this. the only complication is the ride plate of the 144 pump "area" in no way matches up to the chinnes of the fx hull. Im sure there is some way to blend it in though.

Makes no sense why Yamaha put that stupid 122 pump in these ski's. It's the same size as a friggin Kawi 440 pump. Don't get me wrong, the stock pump handles it pretty well. Just makes our lives a PIA to do it the way it SHOULD have been.
