nothing for a fx1 can beat the complete factory b mod or fx1 chamber'd pipe.
but for the little banana's needed to make this work, it worked just fine.

the water line mod helped a lot over just running the stock kawasaki routing.

and a 46mm wetjet carb upgrade made it a little freaking monster.

Great thread! I actouly have a pjs 650 pipe laying around that i am not doing anything with. Think i will get my hands on a manifold and give her a try. I am interested in finding out what kind of power it puts out.:fingersx:

i know this is an old post, but i've been getting questions on this cheap sj or fx1 pipe setup.

that k650 pipe mod works good on a k650, had no idea someone put it on a fx1, if i didn't have the riva red on my fx1 id definately give this a shot, i also have a pjs pipe that looks identical to stock but its already 3" longer and has the stinger welded on already but is made to bolt up to the stock k650 head pipe. this pipe would defin make getting to the starter much easier than the riva or pro tec.

pjs made two versions of pipes for the k650, the first is a long stocker with a stinger, the second is a much wider two piece chamber version that is aluminum instead of stainless and requires a different head pipe, the key to the k650's is a short head pipe with little water that gets fat quick like the factory or later version coffmans/pjs pipes.
