got it! I went to put the head back on and the o ring keeps falling off, what type of grease or solvent do I need to use for them?

haha, he got a 10 spot, was a youngin.

On another note, i'm having reduced power when I take off and then it clears up. It looks there could be small hairline leak form the head not sealing up properly? Could this cause the problem if maybe a bit of water was getting in?

Also, as you can tell from my previous posts I'm not the most mechanically inclined.

Will this o-ring kit work for the riva head I have?

Well every time I take the ski out the plugs get stuck in the dome. is there anything else I can do to stop the dome from spinning, or do I just need to buy a new head?

I was told to change the plugs ever few rides. I've been replacing them every 3 or 4 times out on the ski. When do you replace your plugs?

I personally hardly ever replace my plugs. Maybe every few months, and I ride several times a week. On a well running and tuned engine, you shouldn't go threw plugs a lot. If you have a lot of no wake zones I could see them fouling more often but im normally wide open.

Damn.. I'll have to let them roll for a few more rides and see how it works out. Luckily I won't have the problem anymore once this new head comes in. I'm pretty sure I have a leak though, after a day of riding there's always a good bit of black oily residue side of the head next to the B pipe.

I bought a new SXR to race in May 2004. I think I replaced the plugs late 2005............. You dont have to replace plugs unless they go bad.
