Fx1 spring time build

So on a scale of one to ten how much of a difference will my ski be it when from 100 stock to well almost finished with all this... Kawi pump swap, tbm pump stuffer, hooker 9/15 impeller, riva red pipe, Ada head and raised nose bond line? Just wondering what to expect.. Also I need some ideas on jetting for above 5000 feet? Thanks I loved this thing stock and can't wait for the lakes to warm up!!! Also I'm thinking for paint keeping the bottom purple top black with light blue/teal turf and same colors in the new fx1 decal in making! Thoughts feel free to right my wrongs lol! Also sorry but most important question right know is can I use long hair fiber bondo to fill in most of the bond line raise and then glass over or do I need to do it like I did in the pump area and just build it up with regular fiberglass work?

Dude , on performance , difference if all are correctly installed should be impressive..... Also consider new reeds and maybe a pair of Blowsion tubbies.....

Good to hear just dump a ton into it! I'm planning on tubbies and foot holds but I can't get a hold of tom21 heard his are the best! I'm also gonna rebuild the motor beginning of next season since when I put on the head I wasn't impressed by the ring wear or better lack of signs of sealing! So I will be doing those mods then lol!

Thought I'd get some input I'm waiting on my fx1 tom21 tubbies to prime the bottom but I got some goodies from Blowsion and other places I'm gonna hold off on footholds but I'm thinking the REV setup for next year and poly ping pong balls and foam when I refoam since I'm water logged. What do you guys think I'm gonna paint the bottom purple and maybe the hand pole, the top will be black them I'm gonna turf with the black on blue turf and have my cousin make me the fx1 stickers in matching colors???? Also I think it was waxhead but someone had and fix for the Blowsion hand pole bracket lock to lock the pole up so it won't fall on you

IMHO You should widen the tray since its way too narrow and use the pink foam from Home Depot instead of the ping pong balls. Then add drain plugs and never worry about being waterlogged again. Just my two cents.

Okay is it just a support thing with the
Ping pong balls? Winding the tray is in the plans too

I've heard they dissolve over time

So the ones I was thinking about using are a polycarbonate and they are quite a bit thicker then a ping pong ball I believe 4mil and weight 4 grams each so 144 of them is some thing like 2 lbs.... In theory it sounds way better then 10 to 15 lbs of foam. But I remember reading that there were some down sites to them... But couldn't remember what they were and I think they were surf related too.. This thing will only see flat water lakes

When I did the foam in my fx1 I doubt the pink foam I used weighed more than a pound. It never takes on water like the two part does. I would imagine if you used ping pong balls you would have to reinforce the tray since it won't have a lot of support under it. I don't know. maybe they would provide more support??? Honestly I don't know. You'll just have to try it and see.

So is special fx x2 trim setup an up or down trim and what's the difference

The fx1 is nose light at the best of times , but with the trim engaged she will run around up on her hind legs like a puppy for as long as you can hold on , great fun for free-styling etc. I have not tried her out on the ocean yet so can`t comment on that...

I made an adjuster for the X2 trim that once dialed in I just left in place, I think that's what Special FX did too.
So did you have no luck getting a cable to operate it? I bought a cable but I did see that that was done those threads... Special fx your threads started this whole project!!! To the person that has the handle mounted trim what's that like hitting a boat wake?

I where I got confused by the trim being up or down was because you'd have to switch the side the steering and trim cables come out of the through hull fittings to make the x2 trim work as a up trim.. I keep confusing my self looking at it upside down lol
