FX1 surf backflips

So, I live in Colorado but I am going to CA surf for thanksgiving. I want to do my first backflip.!

Ski mods include:
144 pump (122 shoe)
hooker prop 8/14
footholds
coffman sizzler pipe
ada head (35cc domes)
msd enhancer
shortened handle pole 3"

Can I expect to be able to do a backflip in the surf with this setup with some work?

More importantly, do you think the hull will be damaged if I land upside down? (Hull is not reinforced) My buddy tried when we were 16 on his 650 (no footholds lol) and landed upside down and basically craacked the ski in half.

Have you ridden in the surf before? It is harder then it looks. And yes your ski should flip with ease. Now staying on and flipping with it will also be harder then it looks. :)

Your ski will def flip I'm pretty sure my buddy in the picture didn't have a reinforced hull and had no problems structurally, although I don't think he pancaked any on his boat. Goodluck

I always hoped more info would come of this thread I'm heavily modding a fx1 in hopes of maybe trying to throw some backies off waves or Wakes

Shouldnt be an issue, long as your feet are strapped down somehow. Stock 701 is enough power to throw a backie, lean back , squat down, pin it, straighten legs out, throw head back to spot landing. Should not have an issue flipping tha thing. Stock SJ's flip. this is lighter and slightly more rockered. Its all about full commintment, no chocolate footin around or you will just land on your head.... And most important.... DO NOT LET GO!!!!
