does anyone as dropped the handle pole bracket on an FX1 to make it flush with hood edges like superjet? and what are the up side versus the superjet, Ok I do know about the weight, but is there anything else that attract rider to the FX1?

The obvious plus is weight and size. I think one overlooked plus of the FX is the hand laid glass hull. The only SMC on an FX is the motor mount blocks. Another plus seems to be the engine cover/seal design, the FX doesn't seem to take on water like the superjets do. I've been running one for almost 10 years now and never needed a bilge pump or scupper.

I think the size and weight are the best attributes of the FX-1. It's easy to get big air with that boat. I really like the way they handle also. They are just plain fun to ride.
