Hey guys & gals, here are my skis. They both started out as bone stock low hours skis. I've done a few little things to bring them up to my preference for my local flatwater riding.

First the blaster:

ADA Head
TDR Waterbox
Prok F/A
Factory Pipe Limited
Dual Cooling Mod
500 GPM Bilge Pump w/ handlebar mount switch
Solas Concord 13/17
Hollow Driveshaft with SS Bearings
Custom Handlebar Risers

Aaaand the Superjet. It is a 1990 650, but I have Converted it to a 701. It's got an 08 pole with a bracket I whipped up at work. You'll have to excuse the machining marks.

Hoping to add footholds when I finally break down to returf. This thing was low enough hours and weighs little enough, I'm pretty sure the foam is still dry.

Here's how it looks now:

I also cut the pole 5 inches after the first ride. I think the RN poles are longer than the SN.

Engine Bored to 82mm with Wisecos
Ported Cylinders (unsure what porting)
Protec Mach 1 Pipe
Prok F/A with outewear on custom carb adapter
Custom Pole Bracket (Original Hazard Bracket) with 08 Pole
500 GPM Bilge pump with solid state WaterWitch Switch
Homemade Brap Strap

Thanks guys

yfzbrett,
To be honest, I've barely run it. It still needs some tuning but feels like it stole my bottom end. It does sound better than the stock pipe though. I put it on after a few threads about cheater-pipes but left it stock length since it's only a 650. Soon it will be gone by way of a 701

Was out on the lake last nite and the mood struck me to take a pic of my unloading process. Thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

Finally got the 701 operating properly in the SJ with some ported cylinders. Thing rips pretty good. The blaster feels like an enormous pig now.

I should take some new pics, I moved the spring hole and added some pole stops and hood straps in place of the hood hooks.

Well I tried another sub tonite and the motor instantly started bogging and took a few minutes to pump out the bilge. So I'm starting in on my own version of the hood mod.

So this is why people reinforce the tray...

Felt a weak spot in my turf, so I pulled it off to check it out. Cracked all to hell. I'm just gonna seal it up with some 5200 until the off season and then put some footholds in and reinforce.

Also Included a pic of my "toe saver" I keep jamming my toes against the front lump in the tray, so I added a piece to smooth it out. Also changing the foot straps to surf stance.

Wow that sucks man. These skis are great tho. I love the way that blaster turned out. The silver looks legit!

Is your sn hood mod done with plexi glass? How did you attach it to the hood? I just ran some PVC out the back the same way. Works like a charm to get water out of the back of the hood.

Thanks man. The hood mod is 1/8" lexan (leftover from work). I just glued it in with 5200 all around. Works pretty good. I'm gonna try gorrilla taping the intake vents on top and see if I still get enough air flow to the engine this way.

Lexan, that's what I meant. Good idea!

So if you tape, would your only air openings be the 6 holes on the front of the hood and the two you drilled for drainage in back? I'd be curious to hear if that works or not. Seems like it would really cut down on airflow.

Yeah, that's why I was going to try it with tape before making it permanent. With the other hood mods where people make a new liner, they open up holes in the rear of the hood for air intake/drainage. So I guess we'll see how it works.

Right on. Keep us posted. I am thinking about doing a full hood mod next winter. New liner as well as shortening it. Don't know if it's worth the headache of doing it or just buying one, so I'm trying to see how others are working theirs. Thanks for the info and good luck!
