Gas jugs

So I live in California and was looking for new gas jugs.

You can buy VP jugs all over the internet and it doesn't look like they are Carb approved.

Anyone have any issues using them in California?

Looks like the new ones suck and are hard to use and spill fuel, not what I want at the lake or river to spill fuel.

Thanks Maybe if I just take the clear filler tube off while in transport?

Well there is conflicting debate on the issue, but have been tickets by CHP "California hwy patrol " to a few that get stopped for that or other issues.
Don't really want to get a ticket if can help it. I different gas can would be a lot cheaper, probably.
Just thought I would ask others if there has been an issue with the VP jugs. I didn't even think it was an issue, but you never can tell what Carb wants now a days.

I have 3 Jugs (non carb compliant) cells on my trailer, I also have an Amazon page shortcut on my phone with various carb compliant cells this get CRAP reviews, many saying things like "I never spilled gas while refueling until I bought this POS..... I'm hoping it helps if I ever get pulled over. :p

I've heard stories of people getting crap about clear and yellow ones here in Wisconsin while filling at the pump. I use red VP ones.

I keep them locked on my trailer. I've been across the country to California, Florida, and all around the Midwest without issue.

I use Square because I can't stand wasted space.

Tuff Jugs are CARB and EPA compliant. They also have jugs that can't be sold in CA and I think difference is the CARB complaint jug says "Gasoline" on the side.... CAo_O. Here's the CARB certificate. http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/fuel-containers/pfc/eo/fair trails eo-09-002.pdf

They flow pretty fast too! If you have an internal fill on the ski things might get in the way, and if you need to use the smaller nozzle it slows the pour down significantly.

I've never had any issue getting gas into a machine, hilarious that the state that wants it's own ridiculous regulations, is the same one that has done nothing to curb this BS:
