gas mixture question on new motor question

just put my 96 superjet motor back topgether, its freshly ported and bored 2 over, factory b pipe, msd, milled head, stock carbs, what gas mixture should i use for the first tank and the rest of the tanks this summer, i was thinking 40:1 for the first 1 or 2 and then 50:1 after that, i guessing stock plugs should work best also?

I would run it a little more rich in oil for the first two tanks. Probably about 32:1. Varrying the throttle while riding and no full throttle for the first two tanks. I'd also use a basic regular mineral oil and not a synthetic for the break in period. After the break in, switch to whatever type of oil you want.

why not use synthetic during breakin?

the boogy man will get you!

high end cars; caddys, porsches, BMWs now get synthetic in the crankcase from the factory.:fing02:

Run 25:1 for the first two tanks, vary throttle, swap plugs and then go 40:1

be careful with your jetting if you run richer than 50:1, if you are near the edge of lean, being 32:1 might cause you some deto, or tuning issue.

your fuel:air ratios is slightly different at different oil:fuel ratios.

edit:

also, with the milled head, large bore and porting, Id be looking for a girdled head pretty quick to be safe.
