Gas out of carb, batteries and oil:gas

Location
Texas
  1. I usually run the gas out of my carburetor after I ride it, as advised, but I forgot to run it out today and it won't be ridden for 3 days. Is that a big deal, if so, what can I do? If not, at what point does it become a big deal?
  2. How many years are you averaging off brand new high performance sealed batteries? Do you leave it on the triple charger? I feel like I'm getting a new one every year and I unscrew it when not in use and take it out of the ski during off season.
  3. Superjet has a 4.8g tank and if i'm mixing oil into a 5 gallon tank do you think 13 oz is too much? I've been told to run it a little richer than not.
Thanks

1- in 3 days your have nothing to sweat. I like to start my ski at least every two weeks if not set up for extended storage.

2- batteries can be hit or miss. I would expect at least 2-3 seasons out of a decent quality battery. Yearly changes seem excessive. I do not leave my ski on a trickle charger but it's good practice to do so as long as the charger has a way to turn off at full charge; over charging a battery decreases longevity.

3- use a ratio rite or similar device to measure your oil so that you do not have to completely fill the tank and you can use the proper ratio whether you fill up 1, 2, 2.5...etc gallons. http://www.amazon.com/Ratio-Rite-Measuring-Cup-does-come/dp/B000I1YLGK

I use a 40:1 ratio.

I ride every couple of days or atleast every weekend almost. I dont worry about the carbs during that time just turn fuel selector to off when traveling though. A good yaulsa battery will last multiple season on one of my skis battery is a least 6 years old. Just remove from ski during the winter and keep in the house if your garage is not heated. Most of the time they still have enough charge to start up ski at beginning of the summer. For the winter try to burn amost all gas out of the tank then put stabilizer in for what you didn't use. Fog the motor with fogging spray in carbs when running and also down the plug holes, dry out engine compartment, tip ski to get water out of exhaust, remove battery place inside. Beginning of season put new plugs in along with fresh premium fuel and hook up battery. Dab of waterproof ski on steering cable connectors. Thats it!!! Get yourself a fuel can (like one of these http://www.amazon.com/VP-Gallon-Del...8?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1435859442&sr=1-16 ) 5 gallons and put 16 oz (40:1) of oil in it before filling with fuel (premium no ethanol) then add to fuel tank. Always use fuel jug when mixing to get proper ratio.
