Gas tank vent nipple replacement

Location
Delaware
I cracked a vent/return nipple on my SJ tank taking it out and need to replace. I figured just to drill/tap and add a 1/8 barb x 1/4 NPT fitting but what should I do to reinforce and seal? JB Weld, 1200, 3bond, etc?

Thanks,

Just drill and screw the fitting in, no need for tapping the plastic. It will stay.
I have done to a few tanks with no problems. I suppose you could pust some superglue, silicone, 3bond,5200 or something on the threads when you screw it in.

Just a tiny dab of 5200 on the threads. I sealed a second pulse line from some cases and it is solid after years. I just a tiny dot of 5200 to seal the threads.
