Gel Batteries

If ur in the market for a gel batt u may want to jump on them. The guys at Jet works said theirs is going up $25...to $100. The cost of the metals to produce batts (per Jet Works) is driving the price increase. I don't know if this parallels the story I saw about catalytic converters being stolen to retrieve the metals out of them for $. Crazy. I can remember when people used to cut out their cat converter and dump it to decrease the exhaust restriction.

I hadn't heard that, but I'm not surprised. All metals have gone through the roof in the last couple of years. Their batteries haven't had a price increase since the mid nineties so I guess it's probably overdue. I've got several coming up on their third season of use with nothing but total loss usage.
