I am getting closer to final build of the ski. have been doing mockups.
Motor in, motor out, gas tank in, gas tank out, motor in can't put tank in motor out- tank back in, tank out to place waterbox, tank back in motor back in. If you have built a ski you know exactly what I am talking about. Nothing has been attached to ski permanently yet. - well just added rotoloc fasteners today.

I am trying to figure out the best exhaust outlet placement.

The engine is a 900 kawasaki 3 cylinder. it was given to me by a friend. Motor is crisp.

It will be running a limited slip big tank, and a SXR waterbox (drilled) on SXR foam.
The pump is a 750 kiwi pump- with some large hub undecided yet (have cut back SXR). Not sure on reduction nozzle.

The next step for this is exhaust outlet placement. I am not sure where to put it. I would like to hear if anybody has reasons on why I should not mount it in the middle of the ski, VS the front.

I just ran a mid exit outlet on my Gen 1 x2, it's quieter then front exit and helps keep the smoke outta your face.
Have you considered rear exit?

i have done rear exit on gen 1 x-2's and don't much care for it. I may like it more on the gen 2... guess it could be an option.

I had rear exhaust on one gen 1 hull and loved it. My current has the stock location because i was more or less making it a sleeper, but i dispise any location other than rear
