Freestyle Gen2 Bob Dasa 865

I am sleddingfarmer's buddy (Jason) that bought the Stunt. I am very impressed with this ski. I know a lot of work went into originally building the hull and the last owner did an amazing job getting the ski top notch. Lots of power and pop! The BOB is awesome as well!

This whole stand-up jet ski hobby started for us when I was looking for a snowmobile for the upcoming winter, this was August 2010. I happen to come across an ad looking to trade a stand-up jet ski for a snowmobile. Well, sleddingfarmer (Brad) saw the ad as well and it sparked this bright idea… ‘Let’s buy some jet skis!’ So, I bought a 300sx and he bought a 650sx. The first time out Brad was injured from an unrelated activity (He dislocated his kneecap doing the worm at a wedding reception!!). We went down to the local landing anyway and I went out alone as he watched from the dock. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to make it back to the dock! I kept crashing, couldn’t turn, ski didn’t always start… etc. Well, after a few times out (Brad was able to ride too) we started getting better and really gaining interest in the sport. That fall I sold the 300sx to have extra money for a snowmobile. During the winter of 2011 we both bought RN SJs. This is when we really started getting into the sport and riding more. Part way through the summer of 2011 I ended up buying a FX1 for a second ski. Our first full year of riding (2011) went pretty fast as summers do in Wisconsin… and winter was on the way again… I ended up selling my SJ to have money for another sled (this past sledding season was basically a bust). I held on to the FX1 over the winter until I came across the Stunt I bought, then I sold the FX1. Brads story is very similar to mine in regards to ending up with the skis we currently have.

So in about the last 21 months we went from hardly being able to ride a stand-up jet ski to… well… over our heads you could say, but addicted and loving it!

I would have loved to keep my RN but I couldn't. I did pretty good on the RN deal tho. Paid 3600, rode it for a whole summer, and sold it this spring for 4500! A stock (intake grate, ride plate, spring, filters) 2000 SJ, it sold in 24 hours. I couldn't believe it. It was absolutely mint tho, and super low hours. I'll never find another like it.

Got my new throttle from Jet Maniac installed, was kinda a pain to bore the hole out, but with the right tools its no big deal. WOW it is so much smoother! I love it.

Ordered it tuesday afternoon and it showed up right away friday. Awesome service.

Question about my steering/bar setup
If I wanted to sun some highrise bars, with my set up I'll have to buy a new turn plate I'm assuming? Since mine is only set up for these goofy bent bars. Pretty much any turnplate or whatever will work with my AC racing pole correct? suggestions on a good one? I'm not even sure I need the high rise bars yet, but I've been thinking about it. Need to get some more ride time in first.

Yeah man just orde the Cold Fusion turn plate. Super nice, priced right and setup for riser bars

Ok sweet,

Question about that, Do I need that "locking clamp nut" they talk about on the site? And it says it uses the OEM bushings...but I have the UMI bearing set up, from what I gather, So will I need to also order up some OEM steering bushings?

I'm gonna shoot them an email right now, but if anyone can answer this, I'll order this stuff up asap. Its cheap enough, I'd like to give it a try. I'm not a huge fan of straight bars

I decided to just buy the 'biggest' bar clamp/quick turn I could, that way I'd have more options for handlebars, and since I don't really like perfectly straight bars, this worked out perfect.

Also put in some red Cold Fusion motor mounts (thanks again JetManiac!) , and got a chin pad by TOBY (GREAT guy to do business with!).

oh yeah, I ordered up a extended ride plate also, or 'surf plate' I suppose, but I don't have any surf, so its just extended. Just for ***** and giggles. I think it'll work nice for chasing boats.

A lot of guys like the extended plate for cruising around too. You can also add washers between the ride plate and the hull on the back bolts to angle down the plate to help bring the nose of the ski down too.

Thanks man, and thanks for the offer. I saw the pictures of your pond, looks like a great spot!

With the way the weather is going (non stop rain!) I'll be selling the ski to buy hay before summer is over. This weather is crazy.

sleddingfarmer's ski is super sharp in person. The white bars with the white grips really look sick. I am getting pretty good at side flops with my Stunt... lol.

He's from over here by me, right on the MN/WI border, just north of the twin cities. His stunt in Sanomon's stunt that he built. Nice ski for sure!
