I am sleddingfarmer's buddy (Jason) that bought the Stunt. I am very impressed with this ski. I know a lot of work went into originally building the hull and the last owner did an amazing job getting the ski top notch. Lots of power and pop! The BOB is awesome as well!
This whole stand-up jet ski hobby started for us when I was looking for a snowmobile for the upcoming winter, this was August 2010. I happen to come across an ad looking to trade a stand-up jet ski for a snowmobile. Well, sleddingfarmer (Brad) saw the ad as well and it sparked this bright idea… ‘Let’s buy some jet skis!’ So, I bought a 300sx and he bought a 650sx. The first time out Brad was injured from an unrelated activity (He dislocated his kneecap doing the worm at a wedding reception!!). We went down to the local landing anyway and I went out alone as he watched from the dock. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to make it back to the dock! I kept crashing, couldn’t turn, ski didn’t always start… etc. Well, after a few times out (Brad was able to ride too) we started getting better and really gaining interest in the sport. That fall I sold the 300sx to have extra money for a snowmobile. During the winter of 2011 we both bought RN SJs. This is when we really started getting into the sport and riding more. Part way through the summer of 2011 I ended up buying a FX1 for a second ski. Our first full year of riding (2011) went pretty fast as summers do in Wisconsin… and winter was on the way again… I ended up selling my SJ to have money for another sled (this past sledding season was basically a bust). I held on to the FX1 over the winter until I came across the Stunt I bought, then I sold the FX1. Brads story is very similar to mine in regards to ending up with the skis we currently have.
So in about the last 21 months we went from hardly being able to ride a stand-up jet ski to… well… over our heads you could say, but addicted and loving it!
