Georgia Supercross

What an awesome event. I was at the Georgia Dome tonight for the Supercross event. James Stewart made it look too easy. He is so fast and smooth. Was up over 12 seconds on Chad Reed who struggled tonight. Bubba is a man among boys.

That sand section looked like it would suck to be behind someone in!

Bubba is just too good. At this point, I think all Reed can hope for is that Bubba gets hurt. Otherwise all he sill ever see is the back of number 7. You should have seen the slow motion replay of teh start on TV. Reed looked liek he was sitting still when the gat dropped beside Bubba. James nailed the start.

going to a supercross is awesome, been to quite a few...you don't realize how fast those guys are goin when you watch it on tv, then you see them in person and its crazy how fast they go...as far as bubba, yeah the boy is fast, the fastest on a dirtbike right now...also it takes one little stumble, one other rider gets in his head and he's down, but he will never be a true champ just doesn't have the right attitude!..reed already has more supercross championships than bubba! the next up and commer to keep an eye on is villapto...he's already been dubbed the next RC which are some big shoes to fill but i think he'll be able to at least come close! and from what i've seen Shorty isn't holding back this year too much either!...

I think Bubba is going to break all the records. Reed has been on the circut a few more years then bubba. That is why he has more titles. Reed was fortunate that he came at the right time. With McGrath gone and RC on the mend when he got his first one. Then Bubba hurt last year. He is smooth but not the champion that RC, McGrath and what I think Bubba will be in the future. I do like Villapoto and think he will overtake Smith but if Bubba stays healthy he will continue to dominate. I.E. The Tiger Woods of Motocross.

That sand section was insane. Reed was making up time on Bubba towards the last 8 laps. But Bubba may have been letting up some being safe. He was on fire!!!!!!!!!!

I was really impressed with Nikko Izzi in the lites, he had a tough first race, wrecked. Kicked ass in the LCQ and then really stepped it up in the main. Also #309 in lites, really stepped up, in the first moto/heat, he looked like the guy that had no business being there, believe he wrecked once or twice, at the start of the LCQ he endo'd at the first turn. Race got red flagged (still not sure why), at the restart, he started out in 5th, by the 2nd lap he was 2nd. He held it for a long time only to be passed. He got the $250.00 for getting 3rd.

Great time. Section 134 was full of racers. KMAC, Wildwood, Brian Baldwin, Chuck Baldwin, Claude Clayton, Matt Colburn, Ken ???(races 1200), Erminio Iantoska, Farthing, Tiny, JR. Robbie Crossly Poppin in for a Visit, Myself and a few others who I did not know.

Ski, I forgot to PM you my number, it was last minute for me, had been sick all last week.

Im a Mcgrath fan so there will only ever be one mcgrath, as far as RC, he's the GOAT...i don't think bubba has it in him, plus just the wrong attitude!...Villapoto is already doing better than rc did in his first season on the big bikes back in the day!...I think he's the next ricky and he's goin to get in bubbas head!...bubba never has really dominated this sport.

??? Really. How about winning every moto in outdoors last year? 24 motos and record a perfect season? Sounds like he dominated it to me.

He has only raced 450 Supercross class since 2005. This is his 5th season. He is already 6th in all time history in wins with 26. One win behind Bob Hannah. Two behind Ricky Johnson which he will certainty pass both this season. That with missing essentially two seasons of races. When Bubba is healthy he has done nothing but dominate.

No worries. We were in section 216 in the mezzanine area. Great view of the track.

Oh yea. Forgot about his 13 supercross wins in the 2007 season. I would say that is dominate. The only two to win more in a season? RC and JM both had 14 in each of their best Supercross seasons. James has gone 7/8 this year and won last 7 in a row on track to tie or break that record.

Bubba is good, but I get what Fishy is saying and agree. Half the time he cannot get out of his own way and gets injured, how many times has this happened. He is not always a "Smart" rider. That is not saying he is not a great rider. He sometimes forgets that it is better to finish 2nd than a DNF.

But he and Reed both have something in common... They both couldn't beat RC.

There were some great battles last year outdoors between RC and Bubba. I kept thinking bubba was gonna beat RC and then somehow, RC turned it up a notch and passed Bubba or Bubba wrecked.

He is young and pushes himself to the limits. He is learning and is fast enough now that he gets out front and coast like he did this weekend. Time will tell how good he really is.

key words here "when bubba is healthy"...it's taken him 5 years to do what RC done in 2...he is the fastest rider out there, don't get me wrong, and those words even came from RC himself, but he's still not going to be the champion that RC was or Mcgrath!...hell even Mcgrath got a title that RC couldn't take away from him! I still think Villapoto, give him another year, is goin to be it! He's already proven at the Motocross De Nations that he can run with Bubba!

MC did rule supercross for years. He almsot won three title on three different brands. I remeber when he rattled off 13 victories straight, lost one, and won the last race of the year. I thought to myself no one will ever be able to top that, but someone did... RC. Just like when RC won every outdoor moto. I thought no one will ever do that, but someone did... Bubba.

To the best of my knowledge only one person has ever won a 125, 250, and a 500 national championship. Anyone want to take a guess?
