Not the best skills I've seen. And their demo on the site doen't use the same picture. So it is a 2d rendering. This would be great for someone who is doing a 50K paint job but rattle can I don't think so.

actually, it looks like them have several packages, starting at $35.00

the 35 dollar quote is to basically design new numbers for the regi's..... 35 dollars an hour to basically play with fonts?

the "full jet ski customization" is a minimum of a 4hr project.... at 90 dollars plus 25 per hr each additional........ all of this for basically a picture of your boat with a different paint job..... any custom painter worth his salt would draw u a design based on your input for free if he was doing the work....... i guess to each his own....... but the reason i posted what i did was to find out exactly what the money would get the customer....... wasnt tryin to just be a d!ck.... i was actually lookin for an answer

It probably has something to do with the signifigant number of aholes per anum.

ill just assume ur not referring to me...... its probably better for both of us

Consider that painting costs are in prep and materials. Graphics is all in the making the graphics on the computer. Would you expect Ronny Mac to make some really pimping graphics for your ski or exotic signs, and only charge you for materials + 25%? The money is in the time spent designing the graphics in PS or whatever. Comparing it to a paintjob isnt too good an analogy, thats apples to oranges, even though they can have similar results.

How long does it take to draw a picture? How long does it take to transfer that picture to PS at high resolution, enough to blow it up to 7 feet wide? How long does it take to prep and paint a ski? And how long does it take to apply stickers (which you can do yourself)?

Prep and paint takes many more hours then sticking on stickers, the hours is in making the stickers...

I'm not siding either way, it just seems your not making any sense.

my point is.... is he charging that fee and then just handing over a .pdf file (or whatever file is needed to transfer it to vinyl) for someone to bring to a vinyl guy? or is he charging the design fee and then charging to create and apply the vinyl?...... if your jus a designer..then yes i can see charging for it... but if your the vinyl guy then design should be wrapped into the price of the vinyl work

Certain vinyl guys won't even submit you an idea without running your credit card through for $150.00 bucks. Others will go out of their way and submit you a bunch of ideas, mock ups, etc without asking for a nickel first.

As consumers it is up to us to figure out who we want to give our money to and who we will ultimately refer other people to use.

i would spend that money toward to exotic signs or north graphics and let they pick 4 you just my .2 cents

You'd rather have someone just pick graphics for you at random?

Allt hose guys do good work but all are vynl cutters, I believe SF is using a vynl printer so he can add anything to the vnl not just a flat piece of a color
