We had our first little taste of Fall here this weekend. Saturday it was only 74 and yesterday it was about 77 at 4:00 with a north wind all day. It was kind of strange at the river where the water temp was higher than the air. When we launched it was only 68 air temp at 11:00AM. I had to break down and wear my wetsuit jacket from my old Jet Pilot suit. It was great, the skis run sweet in the cool air.:Banane25:

down here thats cool air!

we were stuck at 95+ for a few weeks, im glad its broken.

last week was low 50s at night, and mid 70s during the day ( NICE )

this week is upper 80s.

I need to go ride before its neoprene seasons.
although, I do look pretty good in neoprene.

Hate to admit it but I broke out the neoprene yesterday...I'm such a :purr:

But the darnedest thing happened, my wetsuit actually shrunk over the summer!! Not sure what happened, must have thrown it in the drier or something?

its relative to what you have been used to.

the COOL 75 breeze, was a welcomed change from the still 95+ "air"

its all about temp differential dude.

You Arkansasians had it easy then at 95+ we were hitting 100-105 for about 8 days straight a couple weeks ago. That is why the 74 felt like a cold wave this past weekend. Once we adjust, the 74 will feel like a hot day when the norms get down in the low 60s in a few weeks

Yeah it is! Despite this I noticed that the water temp was noticably lower at the lake on saturday. No longer bath water temp! Which should be good to kill those ameba!

Jay

No kidding - I went out on Saturday and came back in pretty damn fast! The wind was whistling up the river, and the air temp was very cool - low 70s. It wasn't fun at all: I could have done with a wetsuit. Yesterday, however, was PERFECT! No breeze, probably 80 degrees, and a beautiful clear blue sky with low humidity.

we had a string of 100+ days too, luckily, I wasnt busy then, and I was at the lake for alot of them!
