Blaster Getting ready for summer

I needed a good excuse to get off the couch and out of the house so I decided I needed a new toy. I decided on a B1. Had talked to the local ski mechanic and had him build me one. Had it painted before I took delivery of it. Rode it all winter in the cold and it is now time to give it some love. So far I added a bilge, Riva intake grate, Pro-tec extended ride plate, and from 701 Industries the Quick Steer and hood strut kit. Planning on re-turfing next week. She is a work in progres.

Thanks. I'm Destin FL.
Here are a couple more pics on some progress I've made. Installed switch for bilge in start/stop housing and some turf. Not finished with the turf yet but getting there.

Looks good. Maybe I'll see you at Daytona this summer. Me and a few of the fellas are gonna pay for the permit to launch from the beach as opposed to Ponce Inlet this year. We got a few blasters and standups in our group.

Thanks guys. Doing the turf was a pain. First time I've done it. I liked the way it turned out though. Putting the bilge switch in the start/stop housing was more work than I expected. I had to mill out some of the plastic in the housing to seat the switch body in deep than just cutting the hole alone. Got a little clumsy with it and barely broke through on the opposite side shown in the pic. Be more careful than I was if you mount yours this way.

Chris, the steering is working out great so far. I'm on the fourth hole and it is a lot quicker than the stock. The hood struts are pretty sweet too. Makes getting under the hood easier with more room than before.
