SXR Getting rid of footholds

So I went and rode the ski last week finally. Ended up losing spark after about an hour or two.

Really surprised with how planted this ski can be when you want it. However I find the nose wants to plunge under water under hard cornering. Also on the flip side I'm not sure what I was expecting but this ski does not live up to it. I plan on selling it soon and just taking a break. It's fun, pretty quick I guess, but I'm just not feeling it.

It seems odd to me, to put footholds in a massive heavy sxr lol.

I might have agreed with you but after hurting my back on my Superjet I no longer do. Even the SXR is too narrow for a proper stance. Footholds, in certain circumstances (ride style, rider size) can improve upon the ergonomics of the SXR (definitely the superjet) by widening the stance which reduces loading on the lower back. That's why I was so fond of @augustaf 's compromise on the holds. Although the SXR is wide enough that if Jettrim is important to him then footholds are not necessary.

I personally think that for surf and bouy riders that adjustable foot holds are the way to go because the hold protrusion is removable. All about that ergo these days. poop I just felt made myself feel old.

right now Im keeping them in... Im too busy to do any work on it at the moment. If I keep the ski Ill fill them in and do the tray extension, because that is a far better upgrade than footholds. They feel okay but I also feel like they are too far forward for me (i bought it from a short cuban kid)... Theyre okay i guess. They definitely help with tossing it around but thats not why i bought it.
