Well I have to say that this is the best mod i've done to my ski till now. Spinning the ski definitely got easier and a lot quicker... I'm still going to close those gaps during the week though.
This plus my new handlebar and steering system a bit more forward made the ski much more enjoyable to ride.. I had to get used to the new steering since you don't have to turn the handlebar as much but when I got it I was very happy and felt like I was riding a lot more aggressive than usual and the ski handled amazing!
Thanks again for the mod and I will update the post when I manage to close the gaps.

Quick steer is a must do mod that most veteran riders have done. Years go by and it may not always get passed on to the newbies in the sport. some oem trim rings have blow by seals in them to help reduce that issue. Great write up

That gap doesn't hurt anything unless your doing pro flatwater freestyle.

Don't stress on it.
