Girdled Head help

Building my motor today, All is together and I am putting the head on. The studs for the girdle kit seem to be too long.
Also they are all the same length.

One side has more threads than the other and i tried both ways.

or is the hex binding up when i thread it deeper into the case?

It could b man. Idk might pm php and ask if it would hurt to drill holes in bottom of cylinder bigger. Or round off the hex at the bottom. Ive never had any issues with the Ada style

Tried grinding one end didn't work, tried the other and also no dice...

I'm just gunna order the right ones and not mess around.
It's a Thrust head that uses ADA domes and o rings.

Should I get ADA studs or ask thrust.

Ask thrust, I have their head too. I can measure mine latter tonight if you need me too as I have the head off right now and one stun out

I just measured my studs and they are just a hair over 7 1/2"

AdA studs are 190.5mm which is right around the same length. Maybe they are just not threading into my cases all the way. I would like to compare with what u have for a length Harbor

My other ski has the ADA head and off the top of my head I don't remember the ADA's head having counter sunk girdle nut holes in the head like the thrust does, this fact would make the ADA studs too long for a thrust head off the top of my head, I'll check it as well and let you know

The long side of threading needs to be in the cases . You may need to clean the holes in the cases with a tap to reach proper and even depth across all six studs .
We do also occasionally depending on cylinder decking run one extra washers to help shim up the nuts on the girdle kit .
