yeah actually i just figured you used it and sent it on to the next poor bastard that wanted to try it, thats what i would have done. sounds like your lean or too high of a pop-off, if you don't get some specs from paul then we can fool around with it at the docks.

oh and its more like I hit throttle and it hesitates then goes but if i hit it again it hesitates huge feels like the pump is gurglin .. falls flat on its face!!

You sound like Wamilton on his video for carb tuning. He says to lean it out until it "falls on it's face". Then to richen it up just enough to get rid of the hesitation.

i tried richen it up by turning out the screws a tad but made little difference, my jetting must be way off...didnt think bigger bore needed more fuel?

did you call Paul yet? At least try a PM

If so, what'd he say do? You have a simple setup. He should be able to tell you EXACTLY what to run within an 1/8th of a turn on the screws.

Hi, do you think your 46mm is big enough for your port job & mods? I have a similar setup, just tried going back to twin 38's from a 46 because it really didn't feel like it was getting enough air.. Just trying to tune the 38's now, basically stock with a 140 main is what I am trying next...

FYI with the 46 I ended up 2.5 needle and seat, not sure of pop-off (silver spring), 120 idle and 160 main.. Felt good mid-range but down low felt a bit sluggish (could have tried a different variation of jet - but if anything felt hesitant due to being too rich) and up high felt like not enough air...

If the twin 38's don't feel any better, I'm going for a single 48.. (I much prefer the singles for ease of... well everything)

140 wouldn't even nearly brown the ceramic on the plugs, not very practical for me to read piston wash... I am in NZ tho, don't know what kind of difference the conditions would make on the high jet?
