Glass tubing

Looking for Fiberglass tubing for my build. Where can I find fiberglass and carbon fiber tubing. As small as 3/8ths" and as large as 2.25 ". I'm not looking for aluminum. Also does anyone know what the material is that is used on the BOB adjustable foot holds , the material that's grey and really lightweight that's impregnated with glass.

Compositeenvisions.com sells tubing. Alternatively you can make your own pretty easily using UHMWPE stock and braided sleeves from sollercomposites.com.

Ive looked for videos of how to make glass tubing but cant find anything. I'm ok with having just glass tubing because at least one of my tubes will be in contact with aluminum . That tube needs to be 1 inch OD. My other tubes could be carbon fiber but don't need to be.

You need UHMWPE stock, fabric, and resin. Treated heat shrink tubing and a semi perm mold release help with the finish and releasing the part. You can use a regular piece of woven fabric and tape the edge of the fabric to the UHM stock, then wrap it once and wet it out as you continue to wrap it. I prefer to use braided sleeves as they just slip over the UHM stock very easily without having to worry about getting a tight wrap. The heat shrink tubing creates a tighter laminate with a better surface finish.

I don't care about surface finish. Its just tubing running through the hull It will never be seen. Its just waterlines and control cables and exhaust tubing. Looks like I'm going to have to do research. Thanks for the replies Nate , you do incredible work.

Why not pvc? I used pvc for my control lines. I didnt put a lot of hours on them but seemed to be working real good. The oem steering and trim fittings fit perfect, and they bent and shaped easily with heat gun. I used aluminum for cooling but you said you didnt want metal.

I used the solarcomposites carbon sleeves over 2" PVC to make some tubes this off season.

All I did was paint the exterior of the pvc with a couple coats of primer and sanded to 400 then painted with high gloss rattle can and sanded it to 800. Slide sleeve over pvc and wet it out with epoxy and then heat shrink it. Easy cheesy carbon tubes.
