Done a few turf jobs myself.
Seriously,2 coats works great.Anymore is a waste.I used to do 3 coats and then decided to try 2 on a build.That was several builds ago.They all have stuck well

Two on the turf, one on the hull. I like to live dangerously.

2 on each and sand the turf with 36gret well scrape the turf.

We actually use to have a urethane type hardwood adhesive that was known as "Bubblegum". You guest it, it was like bubblegum when spreading and even worse if trying to remove a board or demoing a floor that was fairly freshly installed.
