JFB and I have been talking about this ride, since JK was the one that started this ride. We wanted to do something nice that would benefit him. The plan will include: Joe himself, an auction, Daylite will premier the Video and other plans are in the works. Is this the weekend after World Finals Coung? In place of the Surf Slam competition? I hope so - was bummed we weren't able to pull the event off (in Joe's honor) again this year, but they moved the off road races to another weekend and due to personal obligations, CA and I just weren't able to pull it off for 2008.

Glad to see folks haven't forgotten about our other loved ones, and even more thankful to you and Jerry for stepping up - it's a ton of work, but very much appreciacted. If you need any help whatsoever, just say the word.

I was told it was Oct 17-19 (combined with the Rager). I hope so since I already made flight reservations for inspiration! I have been concerned over how well JK has been handling recent news. Thank you for the recent address pointer too...much appreciated.

Why didn't the seagull fly over the beach? Because he didn't want to turn into a beagull! Well, were doing it! Hope all you guys can make it. This should be the best freeride session ever! We will be here camping and doing our best to create good times: barbeques, camping, camp fires and great times. We will be here for you; we as top riders and good, fun people. I will be doing my best to make this an awesome weekend. Can't wait to see all the riders. Please send info to what you all request; Lots of great food and drinks planned for the weekend! Don't forget your crutches and cast, you may need them, because we will be PERFORMING! WIMPS STAY HOME! I love you guys, and I'm all about this. Let's plan on a great weekend!!! Some of us are thinking if coming down from the Portland, OR area. We can't take the time off to drive but would like to attend.

What would be the best place to fly into and rent a car to drive the rest of the way? Would prefer to fly Southwest. Also since it's hard to bring a tent on a plane where is there some close/good lodging?

san luis obispo airport, get car there(if you cant get a ride), go to arroyo grande and find a hotel. real easy!

It's the off season so there will be plenty of hotels available. If you're motivated you fly into San Jose, which is 3 hr north and then drive down. Or you can fly into Oxnard or Ventura and drive up to Pismo...PM me if you need more info and we can talk on the phone..
