its not lowered so i would consider it more a freeride hood than freestyle.no nosepeice either.

$300 might not be cheap when you know nothing about the hood. Best case the price is comparable to Waterdawg's hood, if you consider the billet bracket and nosepiece that you get with the Waterdawg hood. Just my 2 cents.

Its deffinetly molded off of a stock hood....... $300 for a stock hood is too much!..... It doesnt list the weight, or many details...... I wouldnt buy it!

I wasn't planning on buying it, but I figured I would throw it out there for everyone else.

I was just curious if it was a good known hood that I just hadn't seen before, but it sounds like nobody else has seen this hood before either.

i have a bcw carbon hood on my rn i got used off ebay last year- it is not lowered and looks like stock hood- it is fully carbon fiber and very nice workmanship and finish- never weighed it, but it weighs less than half the stock hood easily- supposedly a racing hood so it has lots of room in liner and lots of airflow- i never had any water intrusion issues and i throw some deeeeep subs- all and all a good hood if you dont want to/ not ready to lower- or have destroyed your stock hood as i did and needed new hood asap that weekend as in my case

Cool. Did you get the "race" or "freestlye" hood? The race hood looks like it would take on a lot of water while the freestyle hood looks like it will stay pretty dry.

I almost like the looks of the stock hood and nose better than the lowered setup. It seems that EVERY superjet you see on the water now has lowered hood and nose, IMO a stock hood an nose is less common as of recently. I think Im going to try and make myself a custom nose piece that keeps relatively the same lines kinda like blowsions cuda!

mine must be older it doesnt look exactly like the one in picture- it doesnt have the top vents on the sides- we installed some blowsion holds there so i can do uncool hooktricks- i have no complaints at all really- im tall, fat, dont bend good, and not a midget so unlowered hood is cool with me - i think i paid about $300 for mine last year- with a reinforced nosepiece your good to go and most importantly you have more room for go fast stickers than those lowered jobs- which really makes THE most improvement.:cool2:

p.s. the boat in my avatar has that hood- which you cant see because of the "super action picture thing" bonzia bob put on it- im not computer savy or id post a pic- ill see if bob has one

That BCW hood looks like one I have had since 99 , except for the cheesy handholds . Mine weighs 9lbs and is well made. I always taped up a couple of the air inlets when going into the ocean with it . It also needs some dryer hose on the inside to channel any water coming in , down and away from getting sucked into to flame arrestors. They were $600 shipped back in 99 and worth every penny at the time too.
