Surfriding GoPro mount on a Squarenose

So i am looking to get an angle from the ski looking back at me to try to capture good shots when surfing waves. If you have helpful hints or pictures of where to mount the camera on a squarenose that would be awesome.

hha i have been in contact with him already and plan on making one too but i was just looking to peel and stick a mount to the front cover of the ski or the hood. Just want to know what would be the best

Use some epoxy and epoxy a go pro sticky mount on.

This just made me realize that my girl's mount must be gone. I stuck it on the nose piece near the gas cover. I lost the rubber piece last summer and she just lost the rest of it a couple weeks ago getting tumbled in a wave. The regular 3m stuck it just fine for a year and a half or so and the angle was pretty good for watching the rider. When you turn it around forward you can't see any of the ski though.

ok that is what i was thinking about doing. i just don't want to run the risk of losing it though. That is my main concern

I tie a 50 lb fishing line to it with a carabiner to clip to the bars. I lost it once and the line saved it easily. Dunno if it would have been able to handle the gropro and a square foot of plastic and I haven't looked at it without the nose piece on there.

I made several different mounts for my GP3 to mount on the front of my skiies. They are very easy to make with a piece of aluminum.

Can you edit footage? maybe we can work a deal. Draw up what you want and I will get one made and send it to you. Or I can just make one like mine. I made several that put the camera in different locations, but have only used one in this pic. also I need to know if your running the oem bow eye are aftermarket... hole ID. I now have a billet aluminum mount I mount the camera to the bar. I made one for the rear of my ski, but the thought of coming down on it... I haven't used it yet.

Epoxy still pops off. Better to bolt it straight through, or buy/make a lanyard. Especially if your riding in the surf. Ski's get tossed and turned.

As for editing. i am not bad at it i edit all my own videos but it's finding the time to do it. How much for the mount that you made on the front of your ski? i would totally be open to buying one as long as it is bullet proof I am currently running a billet bow eye

Thanks. No, Its solid aluminum I had laying around from a bike mount I made for a truck I use to have. Heated it with a torch and bent it. On the part that goes through the bow eye I covered it with heat shrink so It wouldn't scratch up my aluminum bow eye. Yea im that guy. I can make some of these up.

Yea finding the time is my problem too, but then again I don't put my videos on You tube so its not much of a biggie.
