got a hold of a vxr without a motor

picked up a yamaha vxr(yeah the pink one) haha for free but the motor shot a rod through the case... who knows how that happened. but anyway my question is any of you boys know what 650 motor goes back in there,

is it the same as a SJ motor or different

might as well drop one in get it running and sell it

any help is welcomed thanks guys

well that's why the ski was free no motor all you have is a hole in the water with no potential any yamaha 650 or 701 will fit right back in the ski

My boss is getting rid or one real cheap ($200) and I was thinking about picking it up for the motor or for a loaner boat to a freind. But how can I tell if it is a VXR or VXR pro with the 701?

The pro says in BIG LETTERS on the side- PRO. The color scheme is also different. The 650's came in pink and white and purple and flourescent yellow. The Pro's came in white with yellow, black, and some other graphics.
