Super Jet got a rock stuck in impeller made weird jingling sounds

I got a 91' yamaha 650sj after I got the rock out ski will start but provides no power in the water. Just got this a few months back never worked on them before but I was thinking impeller threads shot or my driveshaft. Anything else it could be? I got plenty of tools and can buy some I know ill need a special tool to get the impeller off....which i need to know what it is. any help or input would be appreciated.

pull the pump and inspect the splines on the drivshaft. IF the splines are gone there you may have to replace the midshaft too. I've been there...

Have had a friend do the same thing. His midshaft licoriced on the coupler and engine just turned the coupler and not the shaft.

Could be just a badly bent impeller. if they get bent from rocks ,sometimes it will not hook up at all.
But the sound could be a few things ,bad pump bearings , splines at end of drive shaft where it connects with intermediate shaft. That is basically just back of the firewall, if u r not familiar.
Pull the intake grate and take a good look at impeller and try to turn shaft back and forth to check play in splines.
You could take pic of the impeller on the inboard side and maybe post a pic and someone could identify the tool u will need to pull impeller so u can get one for when u r ready to disassemble

kk I think i got a good checklist going, and thankyou i'll try and snap some pics this week when i get time. my shop is consisting of the back of my truck bed...damn condo associations...so it may be a little slow.
