z06 is 505hp bone stock and weighs a fraction of a truck, not to mention the major aerodynamic advantages. They run low-mid 11's stock. I mean they outrun ferraris, both f430 and 575m in both 1/4 mile and on that track the show top gear uses to test all the cars. Jeremy Clarkson couldn't believe how fast it was, and how well it handled, and he is an american car (and american..lol) hater. You are basically stereotyping a car that has had 6 different versions with many different motors, and special versions like z06 and zr1 into a single car that you "ate", not to mention you were probably racing bone stock cars with bad drivers. An ls1 c5 vette is a lot slower than a ls2 c6, and a ls2 c6 is a lot slower than a c6 z06.
A brand new 400hp ls2 vette can be had for under 40k. How much did that truck and all those mods cost? If I wanted to dump another 5+ grand into my camaro I could supercharge it and bore it to a 383 stroker and would eat your truck alive, but it would be pointless, I have about 400hp already and it is plenty to smoke most anything on the street especially from a stop because my motor produces a sick amount of torque. This debate could go on forever, but the truth is that it is not fair to compare a highly modified vehicle with a good driver to a stock one with a driver you don't know anything about. When it comes down to it though, I would much rather be on the lake holding some bars or rope than behind a steering wheel any day of the week (as long as its warm enough):brap:

Whoo buddy take a breath I was just stating facts. All I know is that my L had around $3000 in mods and the truck was only 20K when I bought it. SO that is about 1/2 of a vetts price and I never had a problem with anyone that ever lined up beside me. I don't know vetts it could have been the slow ones they are all crap to me.

You make me sick :hail:............., It reminds me when I was in my mid to late 20's. Wife and I had great jobs, no kids, yet. Had 2 Corvette, 78 and an 85, a Dodge Pick Up truck for the Kaw 650sx Jet Ski, and the wife drove a red 89 IROC/Z28 with the 5.7. What a sight! :cool2:
