Got my jetworks motor dialed in

the pole is definately reusable. just broke the rivets and got a few small jagged edges around where the rivets were. the pole was epoxied together. i will be running this pole again this weekend. when my funds recoup, ill get an x-metal or something in that nature. far as the motor goes, its a 701 bored 1/2 over, ported by art, ada head 35cc domes stock carbs tapered bored to 44s by art again and a b pipe with a fcv. it may not be a 8 mill stroker but it hits hard and im happy with it.

It is that jetworks power. He just grabbed a handful and it pulled it right out.

When you redo it use stainless nuts and bolts. Works like a dream and will never loosen up. There are quite a few on here (including me) that used them works 100%

what size bolts did you use, pretty obvious that rivets arnt worth a damn. did you still use epoxy along with the bolts?

I used 1/4X20 stainless carriage bolts and fender washers with lock washers on the inside. I split my aluminum lower bracket so I had a stainless collar made to go around the bottom to reinforce it. Kinda looked like a studded collar... LOL I just used urethane. We use it all day at work and it is pretty strong. (the stuff used to hold the windshield in your car) But it never gave me any problems. But I am sure that it would hold without the glue. The bolts are the way to go.

I can't find a good picture with the bolts installed but here is one with just the strap and then one with the bolts.

JB Weld is the key. clean both surfaces(remove paint) use JB Weld along with the bolts. It is the epoxy/JB Weld that really adds the strength and does the mechanical bonding. I would bet you could do this and then totally remove the nuts and bolts and run it.

JB Weld rules!!
