A local racer (Tim Gray) bought one and I finally met up with him at the ramp.
Unfortunately, we got there a bit late and he was just leaving.
Just enough time to shoot the poop for a minute and check out each others skis.

The molded sponsons are very similar to Tubbies, but not quite as wide.
The pump is noticably set back, sticking out the same amount as on my -2 hull.
Very nice looking.
Tim got rid of the stock pole and put an RRP on there. Nice!
He's got a B-pipe and a couple other goodies in there. Tim said he's killing everyone around the buoys on that ski.
Definitely a very fine looking Yamaha Superjet.

They are very nice. I can't wait to ride the one my buddy just brought home. Both of us aren't too crazy about the color, but the other benefits outweigh it.

dont forget about the cut-forward pump cavity. in the rear section, its shorter to accomodate trim systems. now, they wont hit the pump cavity when you trim up and turn left or right.

I thoroughly checked the one out at my local dealership. Pretty sweet.

I was wondering why the ride plate was not flush with the rear of the hull though?

have you tried it yet?

I own one? the only thing adjustable to my eyes is that there is a trim ring. but you still have to make you own trim set up..

not flush because they didnt change ride plates when they moved the pump back. just change the holes.

I've been looking no dealer in my area are willing to order one. South Florida is the only place that have them in stock. 20 hours round trip with a vehicle that gets 13 mph is out of the question.

That would piss me off. If you're going to buy it, then why wouldn't they order one? I'm sure you'd be willing to put down a deposit in advance so what's the big deal? Laziness? stupidity? all of the above?

Oh and by the way, there are dealers that have them hear in the Tampa/Clearwater area...that's a few hours closer to you :)

no existing trim. you have to un bolt a bracket add a cable and lever ,...done.

does it not have adjustible settings where you just move the bolt to change trim settings??

believe it or not but wammer had a modified setup where you could statically change the trim but loosening a bolt, tilt nozzle then tighten it back up.
